Write for us

Share your coffee story

Have a brewing method you’ve mastered, a roaster we should know about or a story from behind the espresso machine? IndieRoastersItaly is opening its blog to new voices. Here’s what we’re looking for and how selection works.

What we publish

  • Stories of independent Italian roasters and specialty cafés
  • Brewing guides you’ve tested yourself, step by step
  • Coffee origins, varieties and processing, explained clearly
  • Gear you’ve actually used: grinders, moka pots, espresso machines
  • Italian coffee culture, history and the myths worth debunking

What we don’t publish

  • Promotional articles, paid links or disguised advertising
  • AI-generated text that isn’t backed by real experience
  • Content already published elsewhere, including your own blog
  • Generic lists anyone could write without ever tasting the coffee

For contributors

The process

How selection works

  1. Send your pitch. Use the form below: tell us who you are, what you’d like to write about, and share one or two links to things you’ve written.
  2. Editorial review. We read every proposal and reply within 10 working days, whether it’s a yes or a no.
  3. Outline approval. If the idea fits, we agree together on the title, angle and structure before you start writing.
  4. Write your draft. 1,200–2,000 words in English, with a deadline we agree on. Your own photos are very welcome.
  5. Editing and fact-check. We review the text for accuracy, clarity and SEO. Expect up to two rounds of revisions.
  6. Publication. The article goes live under your name and we let you know, so you can share it.

Before you write

Writing guidelines

  • Experience first. Write about what you’ve brewed, tasted, tested or seen in person.
  • Original and exclusive. The article must be written for IndieRoastersItaly and not published anywhere else.
  • Sources for facts. Figures, health claims and historical facts need a reliable source.
  • Your own images. Only photos you took or have the rights to use.
  • Full transparency. Tell us about any relationship with the brands, roasters or products you mention.
  • Good English is enough. If English isn’t your first language, we’ll help polish the text.
